3. They personalize your experience: They’re called “personal” trainers for a reason! Every client is different, and a good trainer understands your past and present efforts, tailoring your exercise and diet plans to meet your future objectives.

 

4. They are a great communicator: In order to stay up-to-date on your progress and foster a genuine connection with you, a good trainer will return phone calls and emails promptly, offer honest but constructive feedback, and establish a rapport with you that is not strictly of a business nature. Having an open dialogue about your struggles, stresses and setbacks can help your trainer to offer suggestions on how to persist through life’s difficulties, and not only will you lose a few pounds, but you could also gain a friend!
