Okay everyone, it is time to stop holding your breath and release your angst and anxiety about my second variation to kale chips. I know it has probably been bothering you all weekend and you couldn’t think of anything other than what other type of kale chip I might have cooked last week. Well the wait is over and here is my second variation to my farm fresh kale chips!

Garlic Onion Kale Chips

Garlic Onion Kale Chips

  • 1 bunch kale, washed
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp onion powder
  • 2 Tbsp dried onion flakes
  • 1/4 tsp salt

  1. Preheat oven to 400°.
  2. Wash kale and pat dry with towel or paper towel.
  3. Tear leaves into 2-inch size strips, place in a large bowl.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over kale and massage with hands until kale is evenly coated. Then sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, onion flakes and salt over kale. Toss with hands so kale is evenly coated.
  5. Place kale on a large baking sheet and spread out evenly. Place kale in oven for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes lightly press kale down with a spatula. Bake for an additional 3-5 minutes or until kale is the “crispiness” you desire.
  6. When kale is done take out of oven, place on a plate and let any person wandering through the kitchen munch as they desire! OR… eat them all yourself : )
